hi, i'm carolyn!

I'm a newborn and family photographer serving the Boson area. Originally from the Midwest, I've been calling the East Coast home for more than a decade. I live here with my husband and our three children, who inspire so much of the work I do and the way I see the world.

My photography journey began shortly after moving to Boston. In a new place, far from everything familiar, I picked up a camera as a way to explore my surroundings and feel connected to my new home. What started as weekend walks with my camera quickly grew into a passion for documenting beauty, connection, and the fleeting moments that make up everyday life.

In 2016, I turned that passion into Carolyn Moffat Photography. Since then, I've had the privilege of documenting families through some of life's most meaningful seasons – from the anticipation of a growing family to the quiet wonder of welcoming a new baby, and all of the beautiful moments in between.

My approach to photography is simple: I want your images to feel honest, natural, and full of life. More than anything, I want to preserve the connections, emotions, and moments that tell your family's story.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me with a good book in one hand a Coke Zero in the other, spending time with my family, or dreaming up our next adventure abroad.
